In the heart of Africa, roots run deep,
Where elders’ wisdom we still keep,
    Traditions sing in every breeze,
A sacred bond with earth and trees.

Yet change has come, the world draws near,
With modern voices loud and clear,
Secular calls for rights and laws,
For freedoms claimed without a pause.

    In villages, the drumbeats sound,
Where customs still hold sacred ground,
From rites of passage, sacred lore,
    To values handed down before.

But modern tides, they rise so fast,
With visions of a future vast,
Where all are free to choose their way,
And break the chains of yesterday.

Still, Africa, with roots so strong,
Knows that both worlds can belong,
The past can guide, the new can grow,
In harmony, they both can flow.

For here, tradition speaks with pride,
Yet change cannot be cast aside,
In balance, there is strength to see,
    A future shaped by dignity.

    Africa stands, between the two,
With eyes on old and dreams anew,
Where both tradition and the new age,
Can write their story on one page.
